Description:

This patient was a beautiful 42 year old Filipina female, presenting to the clinic with complaints of contour irregularity of the hips. .This was confirmed on examination, in which the patient had pronounced “hip dips”. This is actually normal anatomy at the point of the greater trochanter of the femur, but not an aesthetic ideal. At surgery, the back, abdomen and flanks were infiltrated with a total of 4 L of tumescent solution and a total of 2 liters of graftable fat was recovered. This was than grafted by syringe injection to the depressed areas. The results of surgery were transformative. The patient was very happy with the results. We now use the Wells Jokhnson system for grafting, which is a closed loop system, making it more efficient and safer than syringe injection.
