This patient was a 49 year old Hispanic female who presented with complaints of adiposity of the abdomen and flanks and a bulging abdomen when she stood up. Examination was notable for a moderate degree of adiposity of the abdomen and flanks, a 3 finger diatasis recti, and a moderate pannus. At surgery a panniculectomy, a lipoabdominoplasty, and a double layer repair of the diastasis recti was done. A total of 1.2 liters fat was liposuctioned from the abdomen and flanks. A total of 1.3 pounds of excess skin and fat were removed. Her drain was removed at her 4 day post op visit. She lost total of 8 lbs after surgery. She droped 2 pant size. She is very happy with her result.
