This patient was a 41 year old mother of 2 Black female referred by her gynecologist. She was scheduled a hysterectomy. She wanted to have a tummy tuck at the same time to achieve a flat stomach. On examination was notable for a moderate degree of adiposity of the abdomen and flanks, a 4 finger diatasis recti. At surgery a liposuction on abdomen and flanks was done to remove unwanted fat and preserve lymphatic and blood supply to the skin. This will help the wound healling and reduce drainage time. Total of 1.9 liters of fat was removed from abdomen and flanks. Then 2.3 lbs of skin and tissue were excised. 4 finger wide diastasis recti was repaired by a double layer repair. This shrinked her waist line 3 inches. She droped 2 pant size after surgery. She is very happy with her result.
