This patient was a 35 year old mother of 3 Veteran Hispanic female presenting to the clinic with a wide diastasis recti and severe redundancy of abdominal skin and fatty tissue. She also has an severe umbilical hernia. A lipoabdominoplasty was performed, removing approximately 1.6 liters of fat from abdomen and flanks. The 4 finger wide diastasis recti underwent a double layer repair and all excess skin of the abdomen was removed. after umbilical hernia repaired with mesh, a natural looking belly button was created. Most of her stretch marks were able to removed. She was thrilled with her result and break down to tears at her follow up visit.
